We\u2019re holding our very first Splitting the G contest, in association with Guinness on Sunday April 26<\/span><span class=\"a_GcMg font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none font-size-modifier vertical-align\">th<\/span><span class=\"a_GcMg font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\"> at 3pm. The Contest is limited to the first 32 people to sign up on the day &#8211; so get there early to make sure you get a spot! These 32 contestants will be entered into a bracket style knockout competition.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"a_GcMg font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">The overall winner will win <\/span><span class=\"a_GcMg font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">two tickets to one of Ed Sheeran\u2019s concerts at Foxborough<\/span><span class=\"a_GcMg font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\"> <\/span><span class=\"a_GcMg font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">in September 2026 plus there are other prizes to be won including <\/span><span class=\"a_GcMg font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">100 \u2018Split the G\u2019 Shirts<\/span><span class=\"a_GcMg font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">!<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>So, what is &#8216;Splitting the G&#8217;?<\/h4>\n<p>Splitting the G is a drinking game that has gone viral through social media where people are challenged to see if they can get the head of the pint to settle in the middle of the G (and therefore splitting the G) of the Guinness logo on the pint glass. Valid government-issued photo identification may be required. Employees of the Promoter, its affiliates, and their immediate family members are excluded.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Compliance with Maine Law<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This promotion is conducted in accordance with applicable <strong>State of Maine liquor laws and regulations<\/strong>. No purchase or payment is required to enter or participate. Participation in the competition does not require the purchase or consumption of alcohol. Participants can opt to choose Non Alcoholic Guinness 0.0 if they do not wish to consume alcohol but would still like to participate in the contest.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Entry<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Entry to the competition is free of charge. The first 32 people to sign up at the appointed time of the promotion \u2013 3pm on Sunday 26<sup>th<\/sup> April 2026, in person at R\u00ed R\u00e1 Portland shall be entered into a bracket style knockout competition. By entering, participants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Competition Format<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The competition will be conducted in a bracket-style knockout format. Participants will compete head-to-head in successive rounds, with winners progressing through the bracket until a final winner is determined.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Judging Criteria<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Each round will be judged based on the participant\u2019s ability to \u201csplit the G.\u201d The winner of each contest will be determined solely by the appointed judges. Judges will decide, at their absolute discretion, which participant came closest to splitting the \u201cG.\u201d All judging decisions are final and no correspondence with regard to the Judges decisions will be entered into.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prizes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Any prizes awarded are non-transferable and have no cash alternative unless otherwise stated. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value if necessary.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsible Service of Alcohol<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Promoter supports the responsible consumption of alcohol. Participants are not required to consume alcohol to participate. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse service of alcohol to any participant in accordance with Maine law.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Conduct<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any participant who behaves in a manner that is unsafe, disruptive, or in violation of venue policies or applicable laws. All participants must comply with local licensing laws and venue rules.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Liability<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Promoter shall not be liable for any loss, injury, or damage arising from participation in the competition.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Amendments &amp; Cancellation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Promoter reserves the right to amend, suspend, or cancel the competition at any time where necessary due to circumstances beyond its control or to ensure compliance with applicable laws<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Fancy yourself as the master of \u2018Splitting the G\u2019?
