About Rí Rá

Rí Rá comes from "Rí Rá agus Ruaile Buaile", a phrase translating roughly as divilment, good fun or any sociable activity that improves with fine food, a nice pint of Guinness or dram of Uisce Beatha (whiskey).

About the pub

Meticulously restored in Ireland and shipped to the US, Rí Rá embodies everything that you would expect from a genuine Irish pub.

The bar has been carefully restored from old Irish pubs and related salvaged artifacts including the magnificent mid 19th century bar complete with Victorian snugs. The pub required a tremendous effort from numerous Irish craftsmen to complete the restoration of the key pieces. Rí Rá captures the essence of the genuine Irish Pub – the warmest of welcomes, an unrivaled pint of Guinness, fine food and service and great ‘craic’.

In 2016 Rí Rá was voted #1 Bar out of Top 10 Best Bars in the Tri-State by News4U “Best of Tri-State Awards”

General Manager

Ryan Costello

My name is Ryan Costello and I am thrilled to be the new General Manager of Rí Rá Evansville. I am originally from Boston and have strong roots in Ireland as my family is from Sligo.

I look forward to getting to know the city and it’s residents. Be it at the pub while on duty or on the other side of the bar for a pint.

Assistant Manager

Sean Vogt

After spending 7 years serving our country in the United States Army Infantry stationed in Germany and Korea, I jumped into the hospitality industry with both feet! I have always had a passion for food and drink and got my start in Boston’s Gourmet Pizza & Sports Bar in Austin, Texas! I am originally from New Jersey and have lived in Evansville for the last 8 years. I worked as a server to put myself through college so I am well use to pub life and I love it. When I am not working I am hanging out with my son, we are both hugh Star Wars fans so be warned, as no doubt I will accidentally on purpose bring it up in conversation across the bar counter!! I am also involved in my local VFW and do a lot of work with them. I really enjoy being part of the Rí Rá family and am excited to bring my 15 years of experience to the pub!

Chef Noel

I have been making my mark on the culinary world for more than 15 years now. I believe in simple, honest dishes that showcase the ingredients! A native of Owensboro, I am new to Evansville but am finding my way around the city! I am a graduate of Sullivan University, attended culinary school and and had the opportunity to lead the catering team at the Olympics in Beijing and Vancouver. From a very young age I have had a love for food so it made sense to make this my career. Here at Rí Rá, I get to create dishes using local and seasonal ingredients and I pride myself on providing guests with a great dining experience that they will remember. Seeing people enjoying my food makes me happy!
