Promoter

This competition is hosted by Rí Rá Irish Pub Charlotte (the “Promoter”).

Eligibility

The promotion is open to individuals aged 21 years or over in accordance with State law. Valid government-issued photo identification may be required. Employees of the Promoter, its affiliates, and their immediate family members are excluded.

Compliance with State Law

This promotion is conducted in accordance with applicable State Laws and Regulations. No purchase or payment is required to enter or participate.

Promotion Entry

Entry to this promotion is free of charge. By entering, participants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Participants enter by giving the following details: full name, a team name (for the leaderboard), their email address and their phone number. Each individual entrant will also be asked to enter a “Join Code”. This code can only be acquired at the promoters venue and will change each week. By entering, participants agree to their email address being added to our ‘Pub Club’, an email marketing community where member get exclusive offers & news. Participants can choose to unsubscribe from this mailing list at any time by clicking on the ’unsubscribe’ button at the bottom of any promotional email.

Promotion Format

The promotion will be conducted entirely online on this website. Once registered each participant will receive a unique set of 4 teams, selected randomly by the system – one from each of the 4 World Cup ‘pots’ of 12 teams based on FIFA World

Rankings

These will be the participant’s teams for as long as each of those teams are in the World Cup. Each team will score points based on the outcome of the games that they are playing in (See Scoring System below). Along with the top ranked teams, the 3 host countries for the World Cup (USA, Canada and Mexico) are in Pot 1. Pot 2 has lower ranked teams, followed by Pot 3, and finally the lowest ranked in Pot 4.

• Pot 1: USA, Mexico, Canada, Spain, Argentina, France, England, Brazil, Portugal, Netherlands, Belgium, Germany
• Pot 2: Croatia, Morocco, Colombia, Uruguay, Switzerland, Japan, Senegal, Iran*, South Korea, Ecuador, Austria, Australia
• Pot 3: Norway, Panama, Egypt, Algeria, Scotland, Paraguay, Tunisia, Ivory Coast, Uzbekistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, South Africa
• Pot 4: Jordan, Cape Verde, Ghana, Curaçao, Haiti, New Zealand, Czech Republic, Turkey, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Sweden, DR Congo, Iraq * There is still a question mark over whether Iran will participate.

The winner will be the person who has amassed the most total points over the course of the competition. In the case of a tie, the $1,000 first prize will be shared equally among all participants who have reached the highest points total. If there is a tie for the 2nd and 3rd place prizes, one winner each will be selected at random.

Scoring System

For every Group Stage game, a team can score points as follows: 3 points for a win & 1 point for a draw Once the Group phase is completed, we will change the points structure to the following for every Knock-Out Game: 6 points for a win/qualification to the next round.

Competition Entry Deadline

The deadline to enter the Competition will be 11:59pm on June 27th – the last day of the Group Stages. This means that people can enter after the World Cup has started. Later entries are at no advantage to those entering earlier, or vice versa, as the selection of the 4 team for each participant is totally random and unique.

Prizes

Any prizes awarded are non-transferable and there is no cash alternative for the 2nd and 3rd prizes. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value if necessary at any time. Weekly competitions will take place at the venue on certain match days of the promoters choosing. Details of these match days promotions and prizes will appear on the promoters website, social media or physically in the promoters venue.

Winner Announcements & Promotional use of names and team names

The promoter reserves the right to use the name and team name of any or all participants in any promotional activity or winner announcements. This will mainly be in the form of an updated ‘leaderboard’ published on the promoters website, social media or physically in the promoters venue. Any winners will also be announced on the same channels.

Conduct

The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any participant who behaves in a manner that is unsafe, disruptive, or in violation of venue policies or applicable laws. All participants must comply with local licensing laws and venue rules.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Promoter shall not be liable for any loss, injury, or damage arising from participation in this competition.

Amendments & Cancellation

The Promoter reserves the right to amend, suspend, or cancel the competition at any time where necessary due to circumstances beyond its control or to ensure compliance with applicable laws.
